Game used baseball bats and name changes

Game Used Baseball Bats and name changes
I have added some more game used baseball bats to the site. There are many new names such as a Travis Snider Toronto Blue Jays gamer and a Mike Baker Florida Marlins bat.  With the Marlins going through some name and location changes next year Florida Marlins items will be a name of the past, like the Tampa Bay Devil Rays who are now the Tampa Bay Rays. The name change has made the market for the original Devil Rays highly sought after. The amount of product that is out there is yet to be realized by the collectors market as most that have Devil Rays collectables are holding on in anticipation of a World Series Championship for the top dollar on the Devil Rays items. So when collectors see Devil Rays items of any type they should consider them for an addition to any baseball collection. Now you can look for the same thing to happen with the Florida Marlins collectables market.

The game used bat has become a more sought after item of the baseball collectors. Like all game used equipment it has good value on the market at all levels. With bats you need to remember that some ball park will not allow them to enter the park so getting autographed baseball bats is a lot of work  compared to baseball and cards or photos which are allowed at all ball parks.

James McCann Tigers first pick 2011 MLB Draft

James McCann Tigers first pick 2011
James McCann was The Detroit Tigers first pick of the 2011 MLB Draft. The catcher stands 6’3” and right around 210lbs. is the type of player any and all teams want and need. Look for James to be a team player and leader.  I was lucky enough to meet up with him this past week and I feel real sure this guy will make the big leagues in a big way!.
Mark 10:27 Jesus looked at them and said, "With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God."

Dante Bichette Jr.Yankees first pick 2011

Yankees first pick 2011

The New York Yankees first pick in the 2011 MLB Draft resulted in a young third baseman by the name of Dante Bichette Jr. from Orangewood Christian in Florida.
I was lucky enough to spend a little time talking with this young prospect this past week. I started by wacthing his pre-game workout and as expected it was easy to see the time this young man has already spent preparing for his journey into the world of Major League Baseball. He moves with a grace and speed of a mature ball player with his execution of all the fundamentals of the game. After his workout he came over to sign a couple of bats for me and we talked about his game and a bit about life and this young man has his priority’s in order and you can see the family has done their job as good parents, as good kids come from good parents.

Dante hopes to play in the Florida State League with the Tampa Yankees in 2012 keeping him close to home. Although with his talent and good looks and being very well spoken he could move up quick and within the next three to five years the Yankees will need a third baseman and a shortstop so keep your eye on young Dante Bichette Jr.
